How Does Invisalign® Work?

Your Invisalign® Treatment
Once it is determined that you qualify for Invisalign®, Dr. Olejniczak will use the iTero® digital scanning system to create 3D digital images of your teeth. Using this information, she can design a precise treatment plan and map out the exact movements of your smile.
At this point, she can provide you with an estimate of how long your treatment will take. The iTero® scanner also allows you to preview the results of your expected smile. Dr. Olejniczak will then send your digital impressions to Invisalign®, where your aligners will be fabricated out of their virtually-invisible SmartTrack® material.
By applying precise and consistent pressure, Invisalign® gently moves your teeth into their appropriate location.
During treatment, you will need to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours every day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss. About every two weeks, you will exchange your aligners for a new set. You will also need to visit our office about every six weeks, which allows Dr. Olejniczak to monitor your progress and provide you with additional aligners.
