How It Works
Understanding Your Clear Aligners Treatment
Once it is determined that you are a good candidate for treatment with clear aligners, Dr. Amanda will use the iTero® digital scanning system to create 3D digital images of your teeth. Using this information, she can design a precise treatment plan and map out the exact desired movements. Once you are ready to begin your orthodontic journey, Dr. Amanda will send out your digital impressions to fabricate the aligners out of BPA-free plastic. During treatment, you will need to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours every day, removing them to eat, brush, and floss.
About every 7 days you will change out your aligners for a new set. You will have follow-up visits with our office about every 6-10 weeks, which allows Dr. Amanda to monitor your progress and provide you with additional aligners as needed.
