The first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment.
What to expect at the exam and consult – At our new patient exam we will work closely with our TC and Dr Amanda. Pictures and an x-ray are taken so that Dr, Amanda can easily point out any areas of concern. The appt is about 1 hour in length. If you are ready to begin treatment, we can take any necessary next steps to begin our orthodontic journey. If you provide us with insurance info at the time of your new patient phone call or new patient exam, we will gladly inform you of your orthodontic benefits at this time.
How to schedule appointments and how often they would occur – Our receptionists will happily facilitate setting up each appointment, wroking hard to coordinate appointments with your busy schedules; appts every 6-8 weeks but may vary depending on the treatment or appliances; a gentle reminder that emergency appointments, appointments to place or remove braces are typically daytime appointments so that Dr. Amanda can accommodate the greatest number of patients during the after school hours. We do this to ensure that we inconvenience you and your family as little as possible
What happens with a pokey wire or popped bracket – How to handle some simple emergencies at home. True orthodontic emergencies are rare, but when they occur we are available to you. As a general rule, you should call our office when you experience severe pain or have a painful appliance problem you can’t take care of yourself. We will do our best to make you comfortable as soon as possible. Repairing broken appliances will likely require a daytime appointment to ensure you receive one-on-one care with Dr. Amanda. Should it be necessary, we can always schedule an appointment to make sure you are comfortable. Then, have you back at your convenience for that daytime repair appointment.
If you are a new patient to our office, please visit our Patient Forms page to download our new patient forms that will need to be filled out when you arrive at our office.
